Endless amounts of research (and testimonies from basically every creative and successful person) continue to prove that having a consistent morning routine is the single most beneficial thing that you can do for yourself. Not only does it set the tone for the rest of your day and give you a sense of stability in a crazy world, but it creates momentum in the areas of life you are working on improving.
By incorporating things that you are currently working on into your morning, you prevent yourself from slacking later on in the day (work was too stressful, guess I won’t workout today) and get in a small “win” to keep you focused on your goal throughout the rest of the day ( I had a donut for breakfast, might as well have pizza for lunch… I already messed up anyway).
Think of an area of your life that you want to work on and add one or two simple habits into your morning routine that will push that goal forward.

Fitness: get in a workout, stretch, go for a quick jog, do 5 minutes of sun salutations
Wellness: meditate, go for a walk outside, dry brush, make coffee and enjoy it while relaxing
Self development: bullet journal, morning pages, read, write, listen to podcast
Nutrition: drink lemon water first thing, make a healthy breakfast, taking supplements/probiotics, pack lunch
The weekend is the perfect time to take your new routine for a test drive. The only criteria is that it fits YOUR goals and makes you feel like YOUR best self.
